Last spring I received some photographs from Southern Kyrgyzstan, they were sent to me by Roman Gilmanov, who’s been living there up to now.
These photos were made at Khaidarkan (Aidarken) pass, where mountain juniper grows in large quantities since the ancient times.
There are many domesticated yaks wandering among alpine hills. Yaks don’t need a watch dog, they are capable to defend themselves even from wolves.
